There needs to be a recall for those of us that bought more than 1 of these monitors. Overall, the monitor is just not good for it's intended use case. So even the workarounds for this issue result in a separate batch of issues. The issue seems to be related to the fact that the U2414H does not transmit it's UDID correctly to the PC, which picks it up as Generic PnP Monitor. It's ridiculous for consumers to have to spend additional money to get their monitors to work as intended.ĮDIT3: Another issue that I forgot to mention is that the HDMI connection on the U2414Hs also have issues transmitting correct resolution/refresh rate see here. If you want to use a DVI to DP cable, you have to get an active adapter which costs about $80 Amazon Link. Which means if you want to have a multi monitor setup, you have to have a GPU with multiple DP outputs OR you daisy chain from 1 DP output (which is defective). If you're buying one for a single monitor set up, or plan on using multiple ports to connect mulit-monitors, then this issue should not be apparent.ĮDIT2: It should be noted that these monitors do NOT have a DVI input. EDIT: Since a few people have brought this up, I should clarify that these monitors do not work with DP 1.2 in a daisy chain for multi-monitor set ups.
